Rivermont Golf & Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Rivermont golf course first opened for play in 1974. The course was designed by Joseph L. Lee.
Rivermont golf course underwent a $3.6 million dollar renovation by designer, Michael Riley in 2006. The course has maintained the integrity of the natural environment and is designed to be a continuing challenge to the low handicapper as well as the new player.
The par of 72, 6,767 yard layout is features tree-lined fairways, elevation changes, creekside charm and small greens. This is not a "let er rip" course, but rather a course that rewards targeted set ups and short game finesse.
The 18th is a great finishing hole. Starting with an elevated tee, this 415-yard par 4 requires a tee shot to a tight fairway. A creek and OB waits on the right and a lake can make you wet to the left. The green is protected by three bunkers. The hole is further protected by a green with numerous slopes.

Recently renovated -- great greens, new bunkers, an array of grasses, rebuilt tees or new tees, good management and professional staff, water balance, nice layout. It tests the mettle of all handicaps. Present drought conditions cause fairways to be hard and fast. I am a member, the price I indicated that I paid was for the cart rental only. I do not want to confuse anyone.

Joe Lee design from 1973. Updated three years ago by Mike Riley. Layout is phenomenal, but the undulating greens are very difficult to read, therefore hard to putt.
